We had such a blast with extended family out in California. Apparently they were having a bit of a hot spell, but it was SO NICE compared to our AZ heat!

We took a day trip to fairytale town, which is a thematic park centered around all the children's nursery rhymes and fairytales. They had a crooked mile, Owl's treehouse, Cinderella's coach, Robin Hood's Jungle, Bo Peep's sheep, etc. The weather was fabulous, we had some tasty PBJ, and enjoyed playing with the cousins!!

SLEEPOVERS! My girls were so excited to have a sleepover with their cousins! Mom and Dad loved that they did it in Nana and Papa's bedroom, not ours!! There was definitely lots of giggling!

We had a bonfire and marshmallow roast...YUMMY!

My friend Stacey from high school came over to visit, and all the girls fell in love with her! When it was time to head back to Arizona, Izzy told me that she's really going to miss playing with Stacey (so come on out to AZ anytime Stace!)

The girls have been BEGGING to go camping, and Papa obliged. They set up the tent in the front yard, and were serenaded by coyotes ALL NIGHT LONG! The wildlife is very rampant at Nana and Papa's, so the girls kept a pop gun next to the tent door for the bears (really only deer, turkeys, squirrels, rabbits and the occasional mountain lion). I know the girls all konked out at about 10pm, but I heard Papa didn't sleep until about 3am. Thanks a million Papa!

To go with camping, they had a yummy breakfast outside. Nana told them that they didn't have to eat anything healthy if they didn't want to (no wonder they like her more than they like me).

We did lots of craft projects throughout the week. The girls were always creating.

We decorated goodie bags to hold all of our treasures in.

We caught bugs (real and candy) and used our bug catchers.

We made bead necklaces and wore them out to the pool. Quite the stylish crew...

They used all Nana's quilting fabric to create forts/camps/houses/schools, etc.

We got up close and personal with the wildlife. I wasn't sure who was happier, Gabby the dog, or her buddy Izzy.

The girls LOVED feeding the donkeys. They especially liked picking apples off the apple trees and taking them out to the donkey pasture...

Papa took us cruising in his '55 chevy. The girls really got into car dancing to the oldies.

We went to a trampoline place, where the floor and the walls are all trampolines. Needless to say, they could have stayed there ALL DAY!

You can't go to Nana and Papa's without TRACTOR RIDES!! I think we went on an even dozen rides the week we were there...

Bubba preferred to drive.

Of course we had a princess tea party. Nana has TONS of dress up clothes, so everyone got all dolled up for it. Then we decorated princess cups, drank pink 7up and pink lemonade, and ate lots of goodies!

Nana has this fabulous frozen yogurt place nearby. We have to admit, we went more than once... It was REALLY yummy. Izzy's favorite was vanilla yogurt topped with Mike and Ikes and Chocolate Covered Raisins. Olivia loved peanut butter yogurt with Andes mints and peanut M&Ms. YUMMY!

No one could get enough swimming. They were constantly asking for more!!

We did lots of biking everyday!

Bubba really got into one of Papa's swings. He could be there for HOURS!
What a FABULOUS week at Nana and Papa's! When can we go again?
