Good Ideas Go Terribly Wrong

I don’t think I’ll ever understand little boys...

The boys are supposed to take showers, they want to take a shower together because they are both deathly afraid crickets will come out of the spout into the tub (yes, that happened, and now my boys will be in college before hey shower by themselves).

They go into the bathroom giggling together and close the door.

Few seconds of silence...

Begin screaming at each other at the top of their lungs (still behind a closed door...no water is running in the shower)

Q: THAT’S DISGUSTING! How could you do that!
C: it was an ACCIDENT! You were too close!
Me: WHAT’S GOING ON IN THERE?!!
C: we decided to try and pee in the toilet together and I ACCIDENTALLY peed on Quinten’s leg..
Q: you’re SO GROSS! HE PEED ON MY LEG!

I will NEVER understand what goes through little boys minds when they are thinking up all these “good ideas” to try out...

Back in Town...

Start of Tball

We started another season of T-Ball and Collin is on the MudCats this year!

Isabelle’s First Time At the Temple

What a huge milestone-Izzy's first time doing Baptisms at the Temple. Nana was in town and got to go with us, and Grandma and Grandpa were working that night and got to be down in the baptistry with us also! What a wonderful night!

Veteran’s Day Assembly

While Nana and Papa were in town, the kids' school had a Veteran's Day Assembly. We got to have Papa's picture on the Veteran's Wall, the kids shared ways that they will honor Veteran's, and Papa got a brick at the Veteran's Memorial in our neighborhood. Thank you for your wonderful service Papa!

Time Out For Women/Girls

Nana, Aunt Laura, and Kate came out for the weekend and Time Out For Women!
We had such a blast at the conference and staying overnight in Phoenix. It was a lot of fun to be just the girls for the weekend!

Happy 12th Birthday Isabelle!

This itty bitty princess just will NOT stop growing up! She had her 12th Birthday and Mom and Dad are NOT READY FOR IT! Mutual, Make up, boys, going to the temple, and Izzy's favorite: NO MORE PRIMARY!!
Happy Birthday Stinkerbelle!

Halloween Party

Luckily I got to help at Collin's Halloween Party at school this year (only kid allowed to have one!)
He made his pumpkin look like King Piggie from Angry Birds.

We did all kinds of pumpkin exploration!

Halloween Fun

All the Halloween festivities this year!
Olivia was a Homeless bum, Izzy was an m&m, Quinten was a Karate Master, and Collin was the red ninja from Ninjago. We had a blast at the Marley Park Fall Festival, The Ward Trunk or Treat, and Trick or Treating Halloween Night!

Quite the HAUL! And Dad-tax is in full swing!

End of Soccer

First season of Soccer is in the books for Collin! He had a blast and can't wait to play again!

Awards Assemblies

First awards assembly of the year and Quinten is sick so he can't go  and they somehow forgot Isabelle...Good assembly in the books!

Cousins By the Dozens

We had such a fun time exploring, playing, relaxing, and having fun with all our cousins while we were up in Utah. No one was ready to head back home...

Temple Square

We did the Mormon touristy thing and checked out Temple Square.

We listened to an organ recital in the Tabernacle...wonderful.

My kids were AMAZED to find a "never seen before" payphone! My, how technology has changed in just one generation!

Parks and Pictures

The kids and I spent the morning exploring Draper Park (and mom trying to take lots and lots of cute pictures...they got sick of me...)

Visiting BYU

We spent a day at BYU showing the kids around and went on a Prospective Student Tour. Olivia was the focus since she's in high school and we got to take an insider tour into the nursing college which was absolutely amazing!

We went for lunch (and of course ice cream) at BYU Creamery, where Shayne ran into some childhood friends (Mitsuda Family).

We did some major shopping at the BYU Bookstore

And got our picture with the Y on the mountain (yes, very difficult to see, you have to look closely).

The tables have turned and Shayne and I became the parents taking out the kids to Brick Oven Pizza. This was something we always looked forward to when our parents came out to visit. We got to invite Riley out for dinner and enjoyed some great homemade rootbeer and some delicious pizza.

This Year's Wrap Up

I love our family's blog books. I love capturing the moments and freezing them in time so we can look back and relive those fun memorie...
