My First 5K!

I haven't done a 5k since before I got pregnant with Olivia. That was over ten years ago!! After Collin, I knew it was time to take my body back. My girlfriends and I started training to do a 5k. It was hard starting in the heat of summer in Phoenix, but we pushed through it. I'm proud to say that I RAN THE ENTIRE THING!!

Read Me A Story

At playgroup, one of the kids grabbed a story out of the bookshelf and asked Quinten to read it to them. He agreed and sat down and started "reading" the book.  Soon he had ALL the kids around him enthralled in his book-reading abilities. They never noticed that a book although read multiple times, never was quite the same...

Prepping the girls' new room

After our bunkbeds crumbled apart (they were hand-me-downs from my childhood), we decided that we needed to get some new furniture in there. This bunkbed set came a plain pine color, so we decided to make it more "us" and painted it white.

Of course with new furniture going in the room, the girls wanted a new paint job too! (I guess the green yellow and bugs wasn't working for their fashion anymore). They picked out a purple and we went to work!

We'll have to remember to post a picture when it is all in and put together!

FundRun

The kids had a FundRun at school where they raised money by how many laps they could do. The track was 1/15 of a mile, and most kids ran over 2 miles! Our kids LOVED doing the run!!

Izzy really got into running the track with her friends. I could hardly get a picture taken!

WooHoo! Did it!!

Olivia's group got crazy in the run! We thought we might get trampled a few times!

There was a family lap where Bubba, Collin, and I got to run with the girls. Bubba thought it was a blast!!

Most of the day, Bubba and his buddy Miriam worked at the water station filling pitchers for us.

The next day was the preschool FundRun, and Bubba got to be a part of it! He trucked his way through that course too many times to count!!

It was such a blast!
