Fibonacci Report

Olivia had a Mathematician report on Fibonacci that she had to dress up to give to her class. She did a great job. And her mini-Fibonacci did a pretty good job too!

WooHoo Principal's List

WooHoo! Olivia achieved Principal's List! That means straight A's all quarter. The group of 5th graders that achieve Principal's list gets smaller and smaller each time. She works so hard at school and always does her best. We're so proud of how hard she works!!

Tough Being Sick

It's so tough being sick. Bubba threw up at school (poor guy), and spent the rest of the day camped out on his sick bed with his bowl and water cup and the bare necessities of toys...

It's even tougher being a little brother of someone who's sick because you also need a sick bed and a throw up bowl and a water cup and to be covered...but have no where near the attention span to lay on that bed all day...

The Birthday Festivities

Since Collin hated Christmas, we didn't have too high of expectations for his birthday celebrations. We decided to keep it low key so he'd have more fun.

Collin's favorite food right now is pizza cut up so that he can eat it with a fork (he loves forks), so that's what we had for dinner.

He did enjoy a yummy ice cream cake, and even tried to blow out the candle (he had 3 eager helpers to finally get that candle out).

Of course, ate his ice cream cake with a fork...

It took him 3 days to actually open all 3 presents. By the third day, he got the hang of it and wanted to have more...He took his trucks (from Grandma and Grandpa) to bed with him each night, definitely a favorite!

It is such a difference from the first birthday to the second birthday. He just seems like such a kid anymore...we're all struggling with it, we're not ready to lose our baby boy!!

He's Already Two!!

It happened...my teeny tiny baby turned TWO! I am so not ready for this!

This little guy has everyone wrapped around his pinky. He has a ton of spunk and 5 other people who are dying to hang out with him.  He's starting to talk in sentences and definitely has an opinion about pretty much ANYTHING! He loves to be in the thick of everything and is quite the parrot with everything he hears. We've loved our time with this little man so far and are so excited for his antics for years to come...

Cookie Sales 101

Starting off the cookie season with a Cookie 101 class!

They were quizzed on their cookie knowledge.

Made their posters for their booths.

And practiced their salesman skills with mock-booths.

They also had a cookie taste-test to make sure that they could tell their customers all about their favorites and the new cookies available this year.

It was a lot of fun, Izzy is ready to hit the road...er...booths!

He may be growing up...but he's still my little baby

It's so hard to watch him get bigger and bigger, and more independent each day. I love to creep into his room when he's sleeping and soak in some of my baby...

Little man...growing up

Just building and building. He can't get enough!

BOOTH-ing

The first booth of the season!

It's HAPPENING!

It's happening!...We picked up two carloads full of Girl Scout Cookies. The girls are working hard to sell them off! This is Olivia's last year in Girl Scouts. They are trying to earn a trip to Disneyland this summer! I'm really excited for her to earn this fun trip! Izzy's troop is working towards earning an overnight trip to the Challenger Space Center in Phoenix. They are both selling their hearts out!

Pinewood Derby

We had our ward's Pinewood Derby this past weekend. I am the Wolf (8yr old) den leader right now, so it was my boys' first time at the Pinewood Derby. They had so much fun!! My own kids even loved it without actually racing cars!

The boys each have to make and name their own cars. They really enjoyed working on it with their parents, and turned out some pretty unique cars!

Our ward's derby time was 9:30am. We had a Re-fueling station with spare tires...

Oil changes

And racing car kits--(cars goody boxes)

We were able to snap a couple pics of the racers during the race.

There was a great turn-out for the race. The boys did fabulous!!

Our boys were really into the race...er...the toys.

It was a TON of fun! Our whole family loved it!!

Arizona Sunsets

One thing I love about Arizona is all of the sunsets...
they are breathtaking!

Feeding the Lorries

We always love feeding the lorries at the zoo. Today, we got EXTRA attention from all the birds...we were inundated with them, couldn't feed them enough!

Can WE Get A Giraffe?

Daddy, can we get a giraffe, PLEASE? We promise to take care of it, and feed it and walk it, and tuck it into bed at night...can we get one? PLEASE?

Zoo field trip

We all ditched work and school and headed to the Wildlife World Zoo for a preschool field trip. It was probably one of our BEST days out! The weather was fantastic, and everyone had a BLAST!!

Izzy got a new camera for her birthday and LOVES to take pictures. I think each animal had the pleasure of being photographed that day.

They got a new train ride at the zoo, which of course we tested for them...

We had a delicious lunch with the animals.

Since we were there, we thought we'd try out a few other rides. Make sure they were still fun and all...

We caught a WIldlife Show.

And decided to get soaking wet on the log ride.

They built a new exhibit, an outdoor sea lion exhibit and show. Izzy was chosen to participate in the show. She got to learn to do a trick in the same manner that the sea lions do...

She was rewarded by being able to feed the sea lion. She loved it!!

It was such a wonderful day at the zoo. Our family practically closed the place down. Hopefully we'll be back again soon!

This Year's Wrap Up

I love our family's blog books. I love capturing the moments and freezing them in time so we can look back and relive those fun memorie...
