True Words

Girls’ Vegas Trip

I was able to take such a fun trip with some great ladies. We decided for all of our birthdays this year, we'd go on a group trip to Vegas to see Celine Dion. It was such a fun-filled two days!!

Celine was an AMAZING performer! She did a little bit of everything and kept us enthralled the entire time!

We also stopped at a fantastic milkshake place! SO DELICIOUS!

We had fun shopping, and eating, and walking, and enjoying spending time together.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these ladies!

Teppanyaki

To celebrate Olivia's Graduation from Elementary School and my 40th Birthday, we decided to go out as a family to Teppanyaki. the kids had never gone before (and it had been quite a while since Shayne and I went). They absolutely LOVED it! Loved catching food in the air from our chef, loved watching all the flames as our food was cooked, and enjoyed all the jokes and fancy knife slinging. What a night!

Ruling the Roost

Yeah...this little guy pretty much does run the show around here.

Paying Extra Per Leg

Olivia: Isn't it a little bit cheaper for me to fly now that I'm a teenager?
Me: Yeah, A LOT cheaper. I used to have to pay $50 more per leg whenever you flew when you were considered an unaccompanied minor (under 12)
Olivia: (...thinking...confused look)
Olivia: You mean...if I wanted to take BOTH my legs to California it would be $100 more?
Me: Oh honey...

Championship Party

Not all of Izzy's team was able to make it to their championship party, but these 7 had a great time. It has been a fun season, a growing season for Isabelle. She's loving softball.

Tea Party With Friends

After graduation, Olivia went out with some friends to a fancy tea party. They got all dressed up and had fancy drinks and foods, etc. She had a blast!

Sucked into a good book

One of my favorite views is watching my kids get sucked into a good book...especially during summer vacation! Hello Diary of a Wimpy Kid!

Bury Your Testimony

Collin: Mom, do people just bury their testimonies and then other people dig them up and then bury those testimonies for other people to find?

Me: oh no honey...it’s Bear your testimony, not bury your testimony. Bear your testimony means to share it with other people.

Collin: Oooohhhhh! That makes more sense...wait, no it doesn’t...

5th Grade Shenanigans

Last day of 5th grade brings about the silly side...

Post Grad

So fun with friends after graduation.

8th Grade Graduation

And just like that, my little Munchkin has grown up. I can't believe that she's out of Elementary School and heading to High School. Olivia has grown up so much this school year, holding her own with her teachers, talking through grades, mistakes, problems, etc. on her own. She's worked through drama with friends, trying to find her own way. She's amazed me with each and every step. I am so excited to see what experiences she has in High School.

Last Day of School

The last day of school for our crew.

Olivia--8th Grade

Quinten-3rd Grade

Isabelle-5th Grade

It's been quite a year for these guys. Trying new things, stretching themselves, and loving learning.

This Year's Wrap Up

I love our family's blog books. I love capturing the moments and freezing them in time so we can look back and relive those fun memorie...
