Last Tball Game

Collin has LOVED playing TBall this season. He can't WAIT until Fall starts back up. Luckily they got to play their last game at the Surprise Stadium with their pictures up on the big screen, and received his first ever TROPHY!

Olivia LOVES the yearly youth activity of MUD OLYMPICS! She brought a friend Alexa with her and the two were covered from head to toe!

   

Bubba's A Math Nerd

This guy LOVES math, and was so excited to be invited to be on a Mathlete team. His team came in 4th in the district! Pretty awesome job Bubba!!

Izzy was nervous to compete in the Mathlete competition for our district. They practiced twice a week for over a month, and her group ROCKED IT! #1 in the district! Way to go Isabelle!

Lately Bubba has been making all sorts of Pop-Up art. So creative!

Stacey's In Town

Always one of our favorites when Stacey comes in town for a visit! She makes everything fun! Ice cream for dinner? YES! DogPile all the kids? OF COURSE! Play games every night? WHY NOT! I think my kids are just as excited to have her in town as I am!

Visiting Home

After Mom's scare with Takotsubo Syndrome, I decided that I needed to make sure that I was getting home for visits whenever possible. I have a difficult time living so far away from my parents and siblings (even though I really do love living in AZ). Luckily I got to sneak away for a weekend with just me in CA at my parents. I. Loved. It.

Rode with Dad in the truck to church and to the cemetery afterwards.

We celebrated Dad's birthday while I was out there. Happy Birthday!

Peter Piper Pizza Field Trip

Our last preschool field trip of the year was to Peter Piper Pizza!

Collin loved the tour but apparently doesn't like the smells of a pizza parlor since he plugged his nose the ENTIRE TIME!

Our class had free reign of the play place and games before the restaurant opened, they all loved that!

Nothing better than pizza with great friends!

    

Activity Days Talents

We worked on developing some new talents for Activity Days this month. We learned how to paint a landscape from the wonderful Norma O'Neill, and we learned how to sew a snowman ice pack. It is a great bunch of girls who love learning new skills!

   

Field Trip to Odyssey Aquarium

 

Shayne was super excited to be able to accompany Bubba on his Field Trip to the Odyssey Aquarium this year. Dad hasn't been able to go on a field trip yet, so I think he was just as excited as Bubba was! It was a great trip, with 2 hours on the BUS (I'm sure that was Shayne's favorite!). 

Happy 13th Birthday Olivia!

 

Finally a full fledged teenager! Every stage with Olivia is a first for us, so we appreciate her patience as we try to figure out this whole parenting thing. She FINALLY (she reminded us many times that she was the ONLY one at school without one) got her own phone! What a whole new electronic, social media sharing, texting, selfie-taking world for this young woman. We love the amazing Young Woman that she is becoming, and am grateful for the example that she is to her siblings.

Happy Easter

 

The wonderful Easter Bunny came again. Grateful that he comes on Friday night so that we can enjoy the fun all Saturday, and then spend Sunday worshipping the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Preschool Pics

Love this crazy preschool class of mine. I've been teaching for 11 years now, it is amazing how quickly time has past. Collin only has one more year at home, in my preschool before we completely move on to the next stage of school-age children.

  

Bubba's Baptism

Quinten has decided to be baptized. He interviewed with the Bishop, and the Bishop decided that he understood the covenant he would be making, and Bubba started the preparations. He wanted to have his family do the different parts of the baptism, and was very excited to have his Dad baptize him. We are so blessed to have this wonderful son in our family. We love watching him grow and develop and learn knew talents and skills. Love you so much Bubba!

Book of Mormon

 

When our kids get into Sunbeams, they get their first Book of Mormon with their name engraved on it. It is a big rite of passage for us. Sadly, we didn't have our act together to give it to Collin before he went into Sunbeams, so he just recently received it. It has become a prized possession. He loves to sit on your lap and thumb through the pages, especially the pictures at the front. The first time he took it to church, he shared it with his class and showed them all the pictures in it: Jesus, Joseph Smith, an old guy, and Santa! (Lehi on the boat).

Hot Air Balloon Rides

When the model homes opened right across the street, they celebrated with food trucks, bounce houses, and YES - HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES! The boys and I were luck enough to get a quick trip up and down before they had to close down because of wind. The girls were bummed, they  both had softball games scheduled right then and missed the opportunity. What fun!
