First Day of School 2021-2022
I was surprised at how NOT READY I was for this day. My first of my babies is having her last first day of school (well, regular school anyways). She is so excited for this great year. She has Biology TA, AP Government, Vocal Thunder Choir, Avalon Choir, and she's testing out of Senior English. She gets out every day about 12:30. Pretty cushy schedule.
Izzy is so excited for this next chapter. She is so excited for some of her electives (especially art). She is really excited to be in Vocal Thunder Choir. She worked out all summer with the softball coaches and is hoping to earn a spot on the team. She has a big group of friends that are all going to Valley Vista and they all have lunch together which is a huge plus in her book. She's hoping to do the West-Mec program starting her sophomore year so she has a lot of plans for the next four years...
Quinten is one of the big guns on campus this year. He's in his homeroom with a big group of his friends and so far likes all of his teachers. He has signed up for a bunch of art electives which he is really excited for. He's been doing Jiu Jitsu for three years now and is loving it. He's excited for what this year will bring.
My baby is in 3rd grade! THIRD GRADE! He's on top of all his studies, has a great teacher, actually goes upstairs with the big kids for class (there are a few 3rd grade overflow rooms upstairs). He's really excited for soccer club to start and he loves doing all the Gifted Class activities. I can't believe how big they all are. I might need time to slow down just a bit.
Collin's teacher Ms. Nelson. (He was the ONLY one I was allowed to walk to class on the first day and get a picture.)
We did keep up with our first day of school traditions and went out for some froyo at Yogurtini and chatting about how the day went. It was a great day for everyone!
Freshman Orientation
Not sure I'm ready for this beautiful young woman to be a FRESHMAN IN HIGH SCHOOL! She's so excited to be out of Elementary School and into High School! She's super excited for choir and art classes, and softball. She's not so excited for Geometry and reading books in English (and actually having to read them).
