Give Me Some Freckles
Somehow, Quinten thought that when you were giving someone "knuckles" it was called "freckles". Now, officially in our house, knuckles will ALWAYS be known as FRECKLES!

Much Needed Family Day
Since bringing Collin home from the hospital, our lives have been thrown for a loop. Everyone has had to wait patiently for pretty much everything as Collin demands the center stage. With Shayne being able to take some time off, we thought we really needed a "family day" where we just enjoyed being together. Our kids favorite place is the mall, and so we took the kids out of school and headed out to spend a fun day together.
Everyone rode the train, we got to look at the puppies, we went up and down the escalator MANY times...
we played at the playplace, we each chose a delicious lunch, we got candy from Fuzziwigs, we bought jewelry from Tinkerbell...
and we made some bears at Build-A-Bear!
It was quite a day! Tons of fun for 3 little kiddos, and Squish slept through most of it!
All Day, Every Day
This is what Bubba does all day, every day! He creates a new train track at least once a day (usually 2-3 times a day) that takes over my entire family room. He has a train table, but it is no where NEAR large enough for his creations.
Submarines?
Today we saw a man in uniform and Olivia asked me if he was in the army? The Air Force? Or the Submarines?

Collin's Birth
You were due on January 20th, but when you decided not to come, we scheduled an induction for the 25th. There were a few storms that weekend, which I guess put a lot of women into labor, so our induction got bumped and bumped and bumped. We were finally able to get in Monday morning. Daddy and I packed a bag, said goodbye to the other kids staying with Nana and headed off for the hospital to bring you into this world. About 10:00 the nurses started me on Pitossin which gets the contractions going, and soon we were in full swing having contraction after contraction. My water stayed in tact though, you apparently didn't want to come out. Pretty soon the contractions got so painful that I received an epidural. Once that was in, I was able to relax...but not for long! The pressure got so intense, you were ready to come out! They called in the doctor, who was Dr. James Johnson (his wife delivered Quinten), and he came in to help you be born. He broke my water, and DRENCHED himself! We had less than 20 minutes of pushing and out you came. You were so beautiful, both Daddy and I started crying just looking at you. Everyone guessed how much you weighed, but no one was even close! You were born at 5:02pm, and weighed 9lbs 6oz, and were 22" long!! You were my BIGGEST baby by far!!! You immediately wanted to eat, and never stopped! Mommy and Daddy couldn't believe what a wonderful blessing Heavenly Father had blessed our family with when you came into this world. I am so excited to be your mommy, and am glad we have years and years to get to know each other. Welcome to the Black Family Chaos! We love you little Squish!!

Family Visits at the Hospital
A FAMILY OF 6!!
I can't believe how much our family has grown!
Of course everyone needed to hold their new baby brother.
Quinten is now an official "BIG BROTHER"!
I think they would all skip school and just sit and hold him all day...until he poops his pants. Then they pass him off to Dad.
9 Months and Holding
This new baby was due on January 20th. By the morning of January 28th, we were still at home waiting and waiting to meet the little guy...
