Harry Potter Love

When the kitchen broom is all you got for flying lessons while you're watching Harry Potter...

School-wide Reading Projects

The kids' entire school had a school-wide reading project, They read A Cricket in Times Square (Quinten and Collin) and Wednesday Wars (Isabelle). After they read through their books, they turned the ENTIRE school into the streets of New York! It was pretty amazing, we were all impressed!

Happy 10th Birthday!

DOUBLE DIGITS!
I can't believe this guy is that old already!...so not ready for that!

Quinten works so hard at school and LOVES math, absolutely LOVES IT!
He will forever be found creating something: legos, pokemon cards, his own board games, comic books, etc. (He even got ALL of his toys taken away once for not putting them away, and he was TOTALLY fine with it! He just made new ones out of paper!!)
He is a very sweet and sensitive boy who always wants to do what's right and help people around him.
He started Jiujitsu this year and is LOVING it! He works hard at it almost every day.
This is the first year that Quinten has decided to use the name "Quinten" instead of "Bubba".

We love you our little Bubba-licious!
Happy 10th Birthday!

Kindergarten Field Trip

I LOVE the opportunity to be able to go with my kids on their field trips. I know it is a privilege not many people get, and I know the opportunities will soon be gone (they already are for a certain eldest child), I got to go with Collin on his Kindergarten field trip to the Zoo. Always a fun trip! Full of fun (and funny) little boys!!

Collin's crew of all of his buddies from his class. He LOVES his friends (especially Quincy and Jackson)

JA BizTown

Izzy's sixth grade field trip was the COOLEST field trip ever. They went down to JA Biztown which is a mock-city. The kids spent weeks preparing for this trip. They had to research jobs, fill out job applications, interview, plan and prepare, learn how to balance a checkbook, learn how to receive and pay bills, and so much more!

Izzy got the job of CEO of Cox Communications. She had to make sure that all her employees were working, sign their paychecks, make a speech in front of the city on how the company was doing, apply for a loan at the bank, help coordinate how to payback their loan, make decisions on how much to price their services and commodities,  and run the company. SHE LOVED IT!

They ran interviews and ad spots throughout the day that were televised throughout the city. Seriously the coolest experience!

Guitar Class

Izzy tried a guitar class with her electives this year. She had fun (but decided that she prefers ukulele).

Allergic Reaction

This poor guy is a trooper. We found out that he is allergic to Penicillin. Poor guy is full of itchy spots and has to take a lot of NASTY medicine.

We've tried to spice it up a little bit by having sweetish fish and sour watermelon chasers to help sweeten the deal.
